The speed camera that used to be situated on the A17 at Swineshead Bridge, Lincs, westbound toward Sleaford has been removed (after being burnt out) but the signs still exist. There are NO speed warning signs on a metalled and marked small side road coming in from the left just past the ex camera site. Also, the figures given for road deaths/accidents supporting siting of this camera are innacurate and the distances that the LRSP specify as being the location of this camera in relation to the speed warning signs are grossly inaccurate (they say 800 m..actual distance less than 80 m!!)..Also, in the spring/summer the camera was heavily obscured from drivers view by overhanging trees.
What I need is a local Legal Aid Solicitor/Barrister to take this on for a court appearance in Jan/Feb 2006..in order to challenge the legality of this camera site and all convictions/fines already imposed....anyone know one???
typical speed camera tactics. Have you tried the pepipoo site - link in "Prosecution" £orum.
They would be able to point in right direction for legal advice. Also check out your local library for lawyers in your area and pay particular atteention to those offering a free advice session on a Saturday morning. The reference book in the main reference section of a main city library is where you would find this.
But why not join in the debates here?
