Is it true that the warden has to physically put the ticket on your window? I drove off one day before he did this and the NTO arrived in the post.

You are absolutely correct, but of course you have to prove it if you take it to the Adjudicator, instead of just paying up.

Half-price for early payment remember !!

I suggest you make representation to the Council explaining the circumstances. If they decline to cancel the ticket, you can either pay the half-proce or take it to the Adjudicator. Keep ALL correspondence and records of phone calls;you'll need them. Also go onto the PATAS webs-site and see typical cases they publish. They seem pretty good, even though the whole caboodle is a scam, and brought in by a Tory government in 1991 !!
