Hi

We recently drove along the M6 and noticed that most of the "old" "speeding markers" painted on the lanes were almost all really faded and not very clear at all.

Does anyone know if these things still WORK ? Couldn't see any Camera's positioned nearby, & as we'll be travelling on M6 next week, would like to know (out of interest) IF they actually DO STILL WORK to catch speeders.

If there are no cameras around the markers are not in use, they’re there because they’ve been to lazy to remove them, most often after roadworks have gone. I’ve also noticed that (after roadworks) they very often leave the outside lane with the markings still visible, however remove them from the other two lanes, what the thinking behind this is, I don’t know.

Was a post long tme ago about the markings - apparently the ones that last are hard to remove ,and removing them can damage the roadsurface --so they are left -to be removed by traffic - so if speed limit NSL - camera markings are no longer valid. ( but watch out for NUMPTY,SLAMMING ON BRAKES )
