Get on your bike for autism
4:20pm Wednesday 18th February 2009

I TRAVELLED thousands of miles across Europe during my cycling career, but if you fancy experiencing Europe by bike then why not sign up for one of European bike rides offered by The National Autistic Society (NAS).

The London to Paris Bike Ride (May 15-18) is a hugely popular four-day ride from Crystal Palace to the foot of the Eiffel Tower.

For cyclists who want a bit more of a challenge, the Five Countries Bike Ride (June 5-8) is a 300-mile, three-day ride through five European countries!

By taking part in either of these bike rides, and raising funds for the NAS, you’ll be helping over half a million people in the UK with autism.

For more information, call the NAS Cycling Team on 08450 509 001 or email events@nas.org.uk Go on, get on your bike for autism!

How will you be helping? By raising money?

Not sure that is what autistic people need. Some protection by law might be more useful.

we raise cash for the charity who use the cash to fund research to help these decent folk who are just too direct for us to cope with .. and to fund lobbies for changes to legal protection for these folk/

Ted and Vrenchen foster. They have an apergers suffere as a foster

they love him. He's direct . honest.. straight as a die.

Vrenchen regards him as her best pal as regards fashion . If her bum looks big in whatever - he tells her. No messiing

He has NOSE for scents. Vrenchen picked upon this. That young man has a future in perfumerie and fashion - per her assessment

Cash raised funds research and greater understanding to help.

I will ride for it.
