As summer approaches more of us are out on the bikes, or will be when it stops blowing a gale and raining. However when locking the bike always secure it to someting, use a heavy duty D lock with the lock facing downwards. It is much harder to pick or otherwise fiddle about with a lock when it is facing the ground and to cut a heavy duty D lock requires a very serious bolt cropper or an angle grinder. There is also the usual advice about post code marking.

Hi Ian and THANK you for a timely reminder. Bikes? A seasoned thief will nick anything if he or she wants to.

I think I posted up a review of locks ages ago from the mags - but cannot locate it for some reason I am not hitting the right key words in "search the forum"

But anyway - I do have a Kryptonite Gorgon and a U-lock for my bike(s). I use more than one if I can Better to be safe than sorry. If I can - I'll remove a wheel or saddle to make it "unattractive"
