2 wheels on the wrong side, I would say. If you just touch a wheel on to the lines, you haven't crossed it.

I'm reading motorcyclists being done for leaning over the line, which is fair enough right?

Edit, the actual wording:

Quote:
subject to paragraph (6), every vehicle proceeding on any length of road along which the marking has been so placed that, as viewed in the direction of travel of the vehicle, a continuous line is on the left of a broken line or of another continuous line, shall be so driven as to keep the first-mentioned continuous line on the right hand or off side of the vehicle.

Just a wing mirror over the line will do it I reckon.

Now ,Weepy , pray tell us what sort of hatched area you refer to . Before you say "DOH" , READ THIS

Hatched area surrounded by a hatched line, what other hatched area would I be referring to. There's a hatched area surrounded by a solid line but you can't think I mean that cos that's absolutely illegal to enter.

Except in an emergency, perhaps?

Naturally, it states this in the highway code.

So it's NOT absolutely illegal...get your facts right just once,PLEASE!

That's the trouble with the "speed kills" lobby so much BS and so little facts or logic.

A weepy admission of not being right. Sky will fall, snow or worse wil happen . IT MIGHT BE THE DOMINA EFFECT OF ROAD SAFETY ADMISSIONS.

Is this debating for five year olds?

Pretty much all road related laws have a get out clause to allow for emergencies; you're allowed to use your mobile phone to make a 999 call, roll over a stop line at a red light if an ambulance needs to get by, and pretty much do anything else and not be prosecuted if you have a very good reason for doing it, it sort of goes without saying...

You're not, actually. People have been prosecuted for going through red lights to aid the passage of ambulances and fire engines, and the convictions upheld on appeal.

Nonsense.

The one example we found of this didn't hold itself up to scrutiny.
