An interesting point mentioned in the article is that there was flooding and oil spills. Perhaps this cyclist pulled out to avoid a flood in front of him and with oil and wet rods the lorry was unable to avoid him? We clearly don't know and this is one of speculation. Sad either way of course.
It would be wrong for the article to act as Judge and Jury that is for a Court to decide later... hopefully we will hear what did happen in more detail. It is quite correct that the paper does not report whom collided with whom, (they cannot know), but just that they did.
