Footage showing a man chasing and pushing a female cyclist into traffic following a dispute has been released by police.
The video, caught on the woman's helmet camera, shows the man pursuing the cyclist then shoving her over in Whitechapel, east London.
She had asked him to wait for her to pass before crossing the road, police said.
The woman "did not require medical treatment" following the attack on Sidney Street on Friday 1 May, but she had been left "very upset, The Metropolitan Police said.
The force appealed for anybody who may have information about the man, believed to be in his early 40s, to contact them.

Now how can we blame the cyclist for that?

:gatso2: "Please don't try and knock me off". I wonder if the attacker has previous form for knocking cyclists off their bikes?

Anyway. Highway Code rule 66 states.

Be considerate of other road users, particularly blind and partially sighted pedestrians. Let them know you are there when necessary, for example, by ringing your bell if you have one. It is recommended that a bell be fitted.

And that's exactly what the cyclist did - let the pedestrian know she was there.

He says something like "you want to put your finger up at me?!" just before he shoves her off. Did she make some rude gesture at him when she originally passed? (Not that it's any excuse to attack her, even if she did).
