This week's CW page 19... gives me this advice as to how to kee me pals! :?

Tells me I am "doing them a favopur as they do not know they are FAT!" :?

They say because we are all piling on the pounds - we don;t knwo what "normal" looks like..

Perhaps//with anorexic waifs at one end and lardies at the other.. what's in-between?

I think I see the point.. we see photos of superr thin super models - pages of "folk dissatisfied with their bodies" - but no one appears to recognise "normal" :?

Apparently the WHO has done a survey - 70% of us recognise our weight category - but 15% refused to acknowledge obesity and 12%thought their wieght was normal even though they were a little more on the lardy side. :?

But obesity is not body weight - it's body fat - per the magand it's even possible to be underweight and have too much body fat.

Per the magazine and am sure MM will correct if incorrect... a body mass index of 25 -29.9 indicates overweight and above 30 - obese. Even then it seems this is not accurate as it does not take into account bones and muscle per the magazine.

However, it seems cycling is one way of keeping in trim and brning off excess fat - as the magzaine points out that jogging with an excess weight can damage joints - whereas cycling and swimming do not incur any undue weight bearing and remove pressure from knees and ankles.

I knew I ride and swm for a reason..
