CW's "Letter of the Week!" :lol:

Writer from Exeter says he was angry at a third close overtake that he started to think again about the "cyclists don't pay road tax" stuff again

Quote:

However, I stopped for thought! :shock:

The vibration from the appalling road surface and numerous potholes had me shouting

:listenup: THEY SHOULD PAY US TO USE THESE ROADS

OK Silly thought - but is it?

If the Chancellor can reduce road tax for less polluting cars and my traxed car is sat on the driveway and not polluting anywhere - why cannot I have a slice back of my car road tax

Actually it's VED - but it still goes into he big melting pot of Gordon's coffers. :wink:

Quote:

If we all joined a cycling club and produced this to prove we do ride bikes - then it would prove how many of us ride bikes - we become a statistic as well. That alone proves we exist!

Ooooh! sarcasm! :lol:

I must say I like this idea.

I use my club membership to get a discount on my VED and how do they know I use the car and not ride to work! :clap: :bounce:

No wonder it's the prize winner of the week :rotfl:

But I love his fave "Near Miss" Brilliant! The irony!

Quote:

By the way, my fave near miss recently was from the council's special needs school bus that nearly shoved me inot a hedge as it passed. As I straightend up I saw a sticker on the back window;

:listenup: GIVE CYCLISTS ROOM

I'd report him mate. Looks like the bus driver has special needs ... imporiving his observation skills! :roll:
