This was tagged to the "bucket thing" - only I thought it worthy of its own thread for information to all cyclists in this city. 8-)

Bike Week in Manchester is timetabled for June 17 - 25 and Manchester Council want as many as possible to at least try out riding in this week as they have visions of being "greener than thee" in the "greeny green green charts"

The council claims less will be off on a "sicky" if they ride to work.. Hah.. per some other stats - people pull a sicky if weather is nice or if it's so cold they want a "duvet day"

Anyway - shirkers apart

... If you live in the Manchester area and want to participate in Bike Week - please call Lisa Houghton on 0161 234 4619 for details of decent routes and commutes around Greater Manchester.
