This is more to do with dealing with racing ones and getting bum back to saddle. - worrying about training and missed races. To these athletes - racing is "a job" - crashes are part of it and there's zero compassion when they are injured.
Erik Dekker apparently shouted at everyone over the slightest thing when his knee was injured ...
Contrast this with Emma Davies -Jones. I think we have a soft spot for this lady because she is very like Krissi to look at on the eye, comes across as a thoroughly nice girl at all tiimes, and her sheer courage in coping with that injury ... well it commands respect.
She said she had very severe nightmares in the aftermath of the hit and run - so strong she needed medicatiion to sleep. She says talking to her Mum and British Cylcing Sport Psychologist certainly helped her address her fears and helped her get back on her bike.
In this week's CW - Emma takes the readers on her fave ride around the Cheshire Lanes, Alderly Edge and the Cat and Fiddle - a mere 43 miles.
