Former Sale Rugby Ace, Mike Grisenthwaite deserves all accolades on here Mike's a keen cyclist and known to some of this family and after developing Non Hodgkins lymphoma six years ago and receiving treatment again for a second time - resolved to help young cancer sufferers.

He launched the "Cyclists Fighting Cancer Group" to help young and parents turn minds away from the disease and the trauma of treatments into sheer enjoyment of life!

Last week this group cycled through remote Swedish countryside - 190 miles in one overnight challenge to raise the cash to buy brand new bicycles for young cancer sufferers.

For Mike and his 18 strong team (which did include one member of the Swiss riff raff ) - most memorable highlight was to watch the early Scandinavian sun rise moments afet it "set"
