Superfit triathlete was fatally injured by a hit and runner in a black Clio.

Graham Richards died from a blood clot in his leg caused by the crash. He used his mobile to call for an ambulance when he came off his bike on a dark country lane (Boarshaw Lane) in the Oldham area.

The inquest heard that Mr Richards told a friend that the driver may have intended to hit him as he saw the car veering from one side of Boarshaw Lane to the other.

Three people have been arrested on suspicion but no one has been charged. Police would like anyone with information to contact on 0161 872 5050 or 0800 555 111

I would not say this was conclusive that they were trying to "kill him" - but they are of the same type who think if funny to chuck rocks at cars from bridges, happy slap and so on.

Funnily enough we all want these people locking up.

Why we want more policemen and less to no cameras really...

My sister tells me that she observed some odd behaviour for herself though. Driving home - she was in the process of passing a cyclist (she had not passed but was preparing to at a steady non scary just below lolly speed) on a wide 40 mph road - when a white van - and she reckons from the expression on his face that he intended this - decdided to move straight to the centre of the road as if to force her into the cyclist. My sister simply aborted the overtake. But she did wonder about this bloke. :rolleyes:
