If you admit to yourself that getting annoyed by other drivers is idiotic it is surprising how quickly you stop getting annoyed.

That must be why I don't seem to get annoyed any more. Yesterday a car-not-reversing-when-clearly-it-should-on-a-narrow-lane didn't annoy me in the least, but my two passengers were fuming. I just pitied the lack of skill of the other driver involved.

Mind you, they did sit with their back wheels virtually in a passing place and wait for the family with four dogs behind me to jog out of the way, so I could reverse 50 feet back past them...

The one thing I take away from this is an excellent one-line summary that I shall implant whenever appropriate in conversation. It just sums it up. Thanks Toltec.

Thanks for your kind words Roger. Some punctuation might be an idea in that sentence though :)

Without checking I cannot be sure, but a similar point may be made in Mind Driving, if not there then it is a composite from other threads. My expression, if not my ideas.

Oh yes - the idea has been present for a long time in mine (and I suspect several/most other long-term Safepseedrs' minds. It's nicely crystalised by your sentence tho
