Had one near hit and one 'what the bloody hell did she think she was doing' today.

Went into town, came off the roundabout into a single lane into town centre, there is a concrete strip between the opposing lanes, pedestrians use this as an unofficial crossing.

Woman was stood on the strip, she looks at me steps off the kerb at a walking pace with her hand out towards me as though she was directing traffic to stop (she was wearing civilian clothes nothing to indicate police) have, I've slowed down further and am concious of youngster behind me a little close so peep horn.

She looks back at me and then runs the rest of the way across the road. I carry on past her.

Same roundabout, coming out of town there is my exit (1.), another to the left (2.) (a slightly odd one as it is more on the DC than the roundabout but most drivers treat it as being part of the roundabout) and then the dual carraigeway (3.) that runs through Chelmsford.

Have come up to the roundabout and carried on being clear to go, as I exit the roundabout into lane 2 of the DC (I wanted to take the right turn just after) a car in exit (2.) acclerates hard, at this point the car is pointed at me and is level with the front passenger door, I've blipped the accelerator and got forward, car enters lane two, brakes hard and steers.

Gave me a bit of a worry.

Any critiques please ??

Chaos, panic and disorder - my work here is done.
