I wonder how much fuel a bus uses all day, how far each passenger is transported, and how much fuel would be used if each of those passengers used their own motorbike instead?

Speed Lobotomy strikes again .

In any potential dangerous situation- we have three choices -

AVOID IT.( GET OUT OF ITS PATH)
SLOW DOWN)(I.E BRAKE )
SPEED UP.(ACCELERATE )

Comon logic shows that by removing one choice - a method of accident prevention is removed and accidents must increase.

It's not rocket science - unless you'r brain has been infected with the spped virus.

Rode sons moped a few times it would just about make 30mph with a following wind, very very dangerous in my view. Not so much of a problem in towns but in rural areas on 50mph and NSL single carriage way roads other drivers will just not wait for safe passing opportunities, the state of most rural roads forces riders out towards the middle of their carriage way the drivers pass far too close for safety and comfort both for the biker and other oncoming traffic. Much more research is needed by those who know what they are doing not politicians and their policy formulating flunkies.

I agree 100%. My daughter rides a scooter. Most of her trips are to a hors riding stables which is in the country, about 10 minutes along a NSL road. She is always complaining about cars beeping her because the cannot get past as she crawls along at 30. She has even been spat on by a passenger as the car passed by. It has been made worse because they have painted a white line creating a cycle lane which makes the road even narrower which of course she cannot use... :x

I am less worried about calls in the UK to fit speed limiters than I would if it were the EU. The fact is there are moves to harmonise vehicle legislation within Europe not let every state do what it wants.
