On the DVLA "check your licence site I see that apart from all the usual stuff given to an older driver I'm TOLD "You can drive a moped up to 50cc (max speed 50km/h)" and also I can drive on a provisional ( which if memory serves ) "You can drive any size motorbike, with or without a sidecar" is covered by my licence. So according to this site, I could go out and buy a Moped and ride along endangering all and sundry, or get a motorbike of any size and do likewise. No mention of CBT. On similar subject, is a discussion SIL ( who's a keen biker) and I had a few times, is that I'm entitled to ride/drive a Quad bike ,even though the gearbox (on a manual one) is identical to that on a bike.
