More speeding footage appears on YouTube
Police are investigating a YouTube video that appears to show a driver filming himself charging down a motorway at 125mph.
Even more incredible than the footage of people swerving out of the way of the man hurtling down the M23 in Sussex is that it appears to be in a Vauxhall Cavalier.
The man calls himself ‘paulscav’ and at one point he focuses the camera on his speedometer to reveal his speed.
The BBC reported that the man claims to be 23-years-old.
A Sussex police spokesman said the video will be considered for investigation by the road policing department.
‘It's certainly something we would not agree with,’ he added.
‘If identified, strong consideration will be given to prosecution.
‘It was a stupid thing to do.’
There was a similar case in Telford, not long back

159mph – The police driver who was CLEARED of speeding
Daily Mail, Thursday May 19, 2005
By David Wilkes and Ray Massey
A policeman who drove his squad car at an ‘eye-watering' 159mph along a motorway was cleared of dangerous driving and speeding yesterday.
Mark Milton, 38, activated a dashboard video camera which recorded him shattering every speed limit he passed through – including 131mph in a 60mph zone and an 84mph dash through a 30mph area.
The officer, an advanced driver, claimed he was ‘familiarising himself' with the newly-delivered 3.2 litre Vauxhall Vectra GSI and seeking to assess its capabilities in the early hours of the morning.
A police officer driving instructor told Ludlow magistrates court in Shropshire that PC Milton would probably have been unable to stop safely at such speeds and should have carried out road tests during daylight hours.
In fairness his force did arrest him and hand the case to the CPS but a district Judge (aka solicitor/stipendiary magistrate

) found him not guilty.
