Just wondered as I couldnt seem to find a more appropriate forum, does anyone know if there are any variable/changed speed limits for the m4 and m5 (south) this monday- friday? My map shows specs as you go towards and through bristol but thats an old map and they may not be there anymore.

Driving to Minehead on Monday and would just like to know what to expect and if it is 70 mph all the way?

Thanks

Hi EssexRob

The M4 is down to 50mph between the M32 and just past the Almondsbury Interchange.
For your journey, you will be stuck with the SPECS cameras from J19 (that's the M32) through J20 (the M5) and south as far as J17 of the M5 (that's Cribbs Causeway). In total that's a distance of approximately 8 miles.
The road works have been there for about a year and are scheduled to be there for another year (right PITA when you live 3 miles from it!).
All the signs say "upgrading to managed motorways" - whatever that means. If someone knows, please enlighten me!!

Thanks
Groovemeister
