You have a point there. On Tuesday I arrived back at Stansted after a short business trip. Plane ( with musical instrument on tail) was late as usual and I wanted to get to the short stay within 24 hours so as not to get hit by the £23 extra grab for only 3 minutes. I walk fast anyway and walked past a few dawdling fellow passengers on the (long) way to Immigration. I was surprised to hear Essex man declare to Essex girl " watch out **** theres a F***er in a hurry "

Your quote seems to explain it nicely. Return to a levellers society ?

edited to include Toltec's comment - Its not as though I barged them out of the way or even caused them to alter course or break step.

Some people seem to dislike anybody different from themselves, this is possibly cultural or, I think - not an expert, may be programmed in at an instinctive or even genetic level in everyone. Some people have more control over, and recognition of, their instincts than others.

Sorry post Xmas lunch philosophising.
