Slightly off topic, but it may well be of use to someone and stop a kid getting hurt.
Some vans have a step at the rear.Driving through a housing estate some time ago, i stopped whilst some kids decided if they wanted to cross or what.
Whilst this was happening , i noticed some kids crossing road behind the van, in the drivers mirror.
Looking in the passenger mirror i saw the kids , on the other side of the road, but there seemed to be fewer.
Got out and went to rear , to find two kids standing on rear step, waiting for me to drive off.
