He was in my local paper a while ago, being prosecuted for harrassment of a private individual - for about the tenth time! He appears to be, to put it mildly, of a pathologically obsessive frame of mind - which doubtless fired his enthusiasm for analysing speed camera performance - but which also led him into a lot of trouble, and not just with "the establishment". All of which self-inflicted damage has served to cast doubt on his veracity as an "expert witness" - which he undoubtedly is - and it's become an easy cheap-shot for his opposition to play the "kook" card.
