During National Road Safety Week, the latest set of chilling statistics comes from the RAC Foundation, which has been taking a cool look at drinking drivers, motor-cycle riders - and pedestrians.

While it's well known that the "drinking" hours of 10pm to 4am are the worst for drink-related road accidents, the situation is even worse on Friday and Saturday nights, when well over half of all drivers and riders killed are over the drink limit, and more than 90% of pedestrians killed are in the same condition - half of them being two and a half times over the legal limit for drivers

Funny how the greed camera sqad use the "overnight" fatalities to justify fixed speed cameras on 24 hours of the day. Even if they have never caught a drunk driver yet!

Also if a drink driver was speeding at the time of the accident is it recorded as a speed related incedent or drink related :?:
