We have been reminded over the last few months that we should not drive when tired!

Well!

As I write this I have been woken up by highways people carring out road works 20' away from my bed! (yes it is midnight! :x ) !

If we are told we should "Think" and not drive when we are tired, can I claim compo for, not only the loss of earnings I would experiance from taking tomorow off but also the compo that my customers might reasonably want as a consequnce of me not turning up to fix their vehicles at short notice! (I am a moble mechanic) with the possible effect of them having a ruined Christmas! (and me a damaged buisness reputation!)

Thoughts!?

depends where you live. If it's a residential street, they're bang out of order (unless it's emergency works power outage etc), if it's a main road, move somewhere quieter.

I lived on parkway in camden once, there were about 8 bars and more resterants within 100 yards of my house, nice when the bottle recycling lorry comes through at 2am every morning. But you deal with, not like the dipsticks who opposed the bars late licences cos it interrupted their beauty sleep WHEN THEY CHOSE TO LIVE SLAP BANG IN THE CENTRE OF ONE OF THE NIGHTSPOTS OF LONDON.
