Just had a very cynical thought. The scheme is estimated to cost £65 billion to implement and £8 billion/annum to run(figs from another post-not mine).Can you imagine how many more hundreds of thousands of extra 'civil' servants' will have to be employed to run this, and here comes the cynical bit - they will be so happy to have a job they will feel obliged to vote for( and expected to), wait for it, you guessed it...............LABOUR.
