It's just a quick question, so I apologise if it has been answered elsewhere but when you do a search with the words camera and sign in this forum it brings up nearly every topic!

So, the question... If a road is to have either static or mobile cameras on it does it also have to have signs, whether by ACPO guidelines or Home Office guidelines. If so, can anyone point me to the relevent documentation to back this up?

Under the imminently defunct netting off scheme they were supposed to sign roads which had static cameras or regular mobile enforcement.

But not having signs did not invalidate tickets it just meant they couldn't keep the money.
