After xmas I've booked my RoSPA advanced test and I want gold. also I'm supposed to be doing an LGV for work.

Any advise on revising the highway code and roadcraft?

Do I have to get provisional entitlement to start on the LGV?

I will only be driving a 7.5 tonne 4 wheeler at work (relief driver only, no air con in the truck and what this about using the clutch  ) but would do a test for the big ones, can I do this or is it a one step at a time job. I help a class A CDL in the USA (18 wheelers).

TIA

Yes, you will need provisional entitlement for LGV, you will also need a medical.

You need the book for LGV, you now have a completley new set of rules.

It is intense, driver hours etch.

Yes, plus medical and another theory test.

Rather than doing a 7.5 Ton test, i would suggest you go straight for your Class 2, if you plan on taking this test anyway. It gives you automatic right to 7.5 ton.

Best of luck

As well as LGV class C or C1 (my advise FWIW do the C any rigid over 7.5 as it will be handy for future employment especially if the boss is paying) you will have to do another theory and hazard perception as the pass mark is higher to be a "professional driver"
Good luck
