My case had the thread name Help Dr L ive'been band.
Some feed back to the forum. Well I did win the appeal against sentence and kept my licence ok, but what I wanted was to win the case against speeding. This was very winable we had conclusive proof which substantiated Dr Clarks experiments on the TTL 22,20 speed scope. The officer had not made any alignment checks and the device was well out of alignment and producing some very erroneous speed readings together with the error trapping not working we had them. Well what went wrong? The ticket office had sent me a 172 which I completed properly and sent back within the 28 day limmit. Six weeks later another 172 was sent stating the driver was of the opposite sex to the one named on the 172. they enclosed another 172 which i did not return , but sent then a series of leters. This was very
wrong the ticket office can send you as many 172s as they think fit and if you do not reply you can get a £1000 fine and 3 points! All this if you can prove you were not speeding and the 172 should not have been sent in the first place. To avoid this pitfall allways send all of the 172s back properly completed then take them on in court.
