Originally I decided it was time to pay my MP a visit. I need to discuss with him my thoughts on speed cameras, the frightening taxation on fuel and generall political BS that riles me so much. I have started to put together my case.
Anyway we have a parish magazine type thing and the local copper has a little paragraph or two in there about this and that. This time, the this and that was speeding through the village. Now, I live on the high street and have done so for 5 years and don't think there is a problem. So I emailed him to tell him that there was no problem and it would be better to engage with people about safe driving that waving a radar at them.
So he emailed back and wants to do a kind of courtesy visit (good on him). I do have a email from Essex Safety Camera Partnership telling me the cameras they put on the A127 would be gone in 6 months, dated March and they are still there. But do you good people have any stats I could use or any tips and advice. Any would be greatfully received.
The MP is still going to get a visit.
TIA
