To anyone who knows. As you drive towards Monmouth on the A40 south you pass under a bridge where the carriage is on two levels. Southbound being the lower level. On this bridge there are two yellow cameras, one above each lane, pointing down at about 45 degrees. They appear to be connected to a white van, but I've noticed a police car there as well. Now, they seem to be at the wrong angle to be speed cameras, but I could be wrong. I've seen this type of camera before on the A14 after it was resurfaced, possibly doing a vehicle count in view of road wear, but I don't think this stretch of the A40 has been recently resurfaced. Could this be a new stealth tactic or is it merely a vehicle survey? Somebody put my mind at rest...
