Hi,

Was driving on the M4 today westbound. I saw markings on the road and my road angel indicated a speed camera even though i could not see one anywhere. On another site someone suggested that it may have been on the gantry above the road? Does anyone know anything about these speed camera markings, is there a camera, is it active? Junction 4/5 Westbound M4 coming out of London.

The cameras are over head and were installed last week in connection with the roadworks due to start soon. They are both the west and east bound csides.

There are signs adjacent to the gantry saying Cameras Not In Use, well they were there on Friday evening, and there is no indicated speed limit lower than the normal upper limt for a motorway depending on the class of vehicle you are driving.

Interesting that your Road Angel indicated a non functioning camers. All very well but no substitute for good old fashioned COAST .
