Nick Cave, the award-winning Australian musician, crashed his Jaguar into a speed camera while driving his twin sons.

Cave, 53, was travelling along Hove seafront in Sussex with his two boys, Arthur and Earl,10, when he crashed through a metal barrier and collided with the camera.
Nobody was injured in the accident, which happened on Tuesday evening.
Police were called to the crash, which left the camera bent at a 45 degree angle, but Cave was not arrested.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: "Police were called to Kingsway, Hove, at 7pm on Tuesday 7 December, after a Jaguar saloon car driven by a 53-year old Hove man had collided with a speed camera and roadside barrier on the eastbound carriageway.
"The man and his two 10-year old sons who were in the car were unhurt.
"No other vehicles or people were involved. Nobody has been arrested but police enquiries are continuing."
Cave, who now lives on England's south coast, is the frontman of the band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
His song O Children is on the soundtrack of the latest Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
I wonder what distracted him from paying attention ?

Doesn't look like any sort of 'official' pedestrian crossing, in that there are no road lines or markings.
Perhaps he swerved to avoid a pedestrian.

It is like the ramps down high street. some people think they are crossings and 'expect' vehicles to stop, seen it many times !
I wonder if someone stepped out and he swerved to avoid them ?

Not that I know of not until a hearing occurs or someone says something to the press ...
Unless someone knows someone, that happens to place something online and then it may likely go 'world-wide' !

NICK Cave's latest hit has made him a local hero in his British seaside home town. Cave recently took out a speed camera erected by the Sussex Safer Roads Partnership with his Jaguar.

The unscathed Prince of Rock'n'Roll Darkness jokes the pole hit him.

"Ahem, it was the fault of the speed camera; it ran into me," he said.
"I have now become a local hero in Brighton because that speed camera has been the bane of everyone's existence.
"But now it has been bent in half and people keep wanting to buy me a pint."

Cave is heading home with his Grinderman outfit to terrorise the

Big Day Out stages and is confident his band is ready to challenge rock peers including Tool, Rammstein and Iggy Pop and the Stooges.

"Yeah we can, that's the thing. I don't know about [Tool or Rammstein], I don't know them but I saw Iggy six months ago and he was amazing. It was really exciting," Cave said.

Cave did admit to being somewhat envious of Rammstein's legendary pyro displays which in the past have included flames emanating from the pelvic region of frontman Till Lindemann.

"Damn! We want to do that," he said. Grinderman perform at the Big Day Out on January 26 and 27 and Enmore Theatre on January 28.
