Hey guys

So saw these 2 police Bmws working together on the dual carriageway last night. One sat at one end manning one side of the carriageway and one on the other. People were getting pulled. Was wondering, do they have to issue the tickets or can they also work like mobile speed cameras? I would think not as our county currently does have a safety camera partnership at the moment. I suppose it would be most likely ANPR and excessive speed tickets they were issuing to drivers.

I'd love their job

:)

They might have been there to back each other up or looking for a particular vehicle and so on ! :)
I have seen that kind of thing before ....
How did you know that they were pulling people ? Did you go round and round to see what they were up to ? :) :drive1:

Was on a short trip to pick up my friend was on the same route back. One of them had a car stopped in the lay-by. I kind of enjoyed watching the people speed past me, then having to try and break hard because they could see them up a head. I've seen it on telly but never while on the road myself.

We all have our thoughts on speeding and speed cameras/traps but just because our county has had its partnership closed doesn't mean that the roads are not still being policed, this was a prime example. I'm not taking anything fore granted. Best to keep it safe!

Traffic cop would be a dream job I'm sure for most. Not sure i have attributes though. 10 times faster hazard awareness on the road i think a traffic policeman has. I think i have good awareness, but not that good! :o

Really ? Where did you see that (10x 'faster' hazard awareness) ? seems massive and I suspect untrue. :scratchchin: Wonder what criteria they used to test it ? :)
