As I posted earlier , one big flaw /danger in the road layout is the glaring blind spot some way over the bridge , as can be seen on Google street map . At one point the top of the curve blots out forward vision . So if there was a patch of fog at this point there's be no warning to following traffic as there would be if following traffic could see rear lights dim and any reasonable driver should be expected to have alarm bells ringing.
Triple S, I had a pair of driving/fog lamps on my car when I had a stint in London in the late 60's .Advice from a trafpol was to have driving lamp pointing at edge of road and fog lamp with beam down pointing straight ahead to light up the fogbank from underneath and not reflect back into my eyes. I never really got the chance to try it in fog, but it worked well in blinding snow .
