I found myself in Plymouth last weekend and was driving across the city at 11pm. I just assumed that the bus lanes (of which there are a lot) would only be in operation in the rush hour and may have strayed into them in at least two places. They have a habit of appearing on the other side of traffic lights where you have been waiting in the inside lane to go straight on.

I have subsequently found out that these operate 24/7 and are enforced by CCTV. Beware.

I am now waiting to see if I get any tickets.
