last time i got done on a speed cam (approx feb 2003), i signed and returned the NIP, then got a fixed penalty offer of 3 points and £40 fine which i accepted. might have been £60 i forgot now.

my question is, would the police have checked if i was taxed, tested and insured?

i didnt get any producer for my documents, and it was long before the new type of MOT's came in which they can check on the DVLA database.

do the police check up docs of all vehicles (via DVLA) they are nicking for speeding on fixed/mobile cams, or is it too much hassle for them?
