Now some people might have seen me post on a certain van that stradles the bridge at Burton Hastings when where it should be is about a mile toward the A5 on the south side of the b4114/b4112 junction just outside wolvey.Gizmo probably can describe this junction better.Truth as an accident prevention tool a choc fireguard would do better at this junction.
I have seen this van from Warks sitting on this bridge often ,but today i came to this junction and there was a car sitting opposite the junction in grass -had obviously been hit n its way across the junction and on the major road (4112) a fiesta with a good dent in it.Warks police and ambulance were there.
So i put this question to warks cc safety - will post answer, if any - any suggestions for new questions welcome
Warwickshire cc seems to be proud of its record in preventing accidents by reducing speed using the camera vans.
quote"
New figures show Warwickshire’s Safety Cameras reduce speed, crashes and casualties"
I notice a large number of accidents at the b4114/b4112 junction and one today attended by warks police and ambulance.
QUOTE"The locations have a proven history of a ‘higher than acceptable' number of people being killed or seriously injured’. We are determined to reduce these casualties in the future."
I would respectfully ask how a camera van placed approximately a mile from this junction and on the wrong road can affect the safety of this junction
