Didn't the UK government plan to remove the secondary check at a police station?

Take it to mean that one sweet could put you over the drive limit.
What about the construction /rail industries with lower limit, typically nil .

They too will no doubt give you the option to provide either a blood or urine sample in the event you disagree with any breathalyser.

Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure that their tests would be urine based anyway (so they can check you for anything).

quite bloddy right too. Anyone eating such a vile concoction must be a bit potty, better off not being allowed to operate a car anyway.

It must have been one of the old hand held breath kits which just go through the traffic light sequence. Wouldnt happen here or at least not in my force they actually give you a digital LCD read out.

The times has picked up on that story and added a bit about kids in a part of Hungary doling out fruit as an indication of driving with a comment---


"Personally, I think they could try harder and be a bit more imaginative with their roadside fruit and veg. If Jordan drove by, they could give her a couple of melons; oh, sorry, she’s already got some. Kate Moss might be offered a cabbage — but then she had Pete Doherty, while Wayne Rooney would probably throw it all back at the kids. Me? Well, I’ll stick with a Fisherman’s Friend, if you don’t mind. Hello sailor!"
