I wear bifocal lens so I drive in them. Constantly checking my speedo when I am near a camera or between those other specs I find myself looking down to far. A quick eye deflection is not enough.

Has anybody else had the same problem and is there a solution?

Perhaps bifocal should be banned as dangerous for driving where there are speed cameras.

I would imagine that having to check your speed every 10 seconds these days puts a considerably higher strain on your eyes when wearing bifocals. I suspect varifocals would be even worse for this.

HUD is a good idea. I have also seen a system for motorbikes which fits to your crash helmet (want one, want one)

My wife had terrible trouble when she first got her varifocals. Her sideways vision was very peculiar. It took her some time to get used to it.

That is one of the reasons I have stuck to bifocals but I still have this problem looking down.
