Does your location in Britain influence the justice you get in court?
I ask because in a report of the assessment of all CPS offices in Britain, CUMBRIA came third from bottom.
Now I could be wrong, but does that not indicate that they fall down on doing their job in Cumbria, and that somewhere, the public are being better served?
Quote:
The Inspectorate carried out a full inspection of CPS Cumbria in August 2004 with a report of their findings published that December. The report made six recommendations, which set out the steps necessary to address significant weaknesses relevant to important aspects of performance. In addition, the inspection identified three strengths and 11 aspects for improvement (AFIs).
I was surprised at this:
Quote:
During our visit we interviewed the Acting Chief Crown Prosecutor, Area Business Manager, two of the three newly appointed Divisional Crown Prosecutors, and the acting Office Manager for the south of the county.
Business Manager??

Is he accountable to the shareholders?
Any thoughts or experiences on this situation?
