I was flicking through a book I picked up from a huge pile in our garage (for the local country fair) - The Book of Lists by Ian Messiter, 1984

Spotted this list which was interesting:

I like points 7, 11 and 12.
I also notice that the word "speeding" is missing.
Number 5 I see all the time, as also 9 and 10.
16 and 17, can be discounted nowadays as these items have now been replaced by scameras.

And according to the SCPs.... there are still 16 causes of accidents.
