I followed a vehicle in Leyland this afternoon with a bizarre sticker saying something like the above (cant remember as I was laughing outloud  ) with a nice picture of a Gatso on it.

MUST have been a Scamera Partnership employee

Only problem was, she was doing 22-24 mph for the half mile I followed her - (30 zone).

So a liar as well as in need of re-training - definately from the Lanca$hire Partnership for "Road Safety"

Makes a change from those with similar stickers who happily do 35+ in 30 zones ;)

I once saw sticker saying SPEED KILLS.

I it made me laugh as the car was tailgating a 4X4 on a nice bendy road.

It's a limit, not a target. 22-24mph may well have been ludicrously slow, but it doesn't make her a liar.

agreed, you bang on about people selecting appropriate speeds, and then complain when people choose to travel at a speed which is lower than the limit. what is stopping you from overtaking safely?

She certainly wouldn't have a chance of pasing an advanced driving test by driving like that.

The solid double white line that is in the middle of the NSL road I am on is normally enough to stop me from attempting to overtake the numpty in front who is only doing 40.

Because if there where police about, or cameras, he could either get prosecuted for driving over the double white line, or for speeding while overtaking.

Assuming it was reasonably safe to do 27-30 mph, she wouldn't have passed an L-test either.

Not to mention old pre-catalyst 2CVs chucking out filth from their exhausts with Greenpeace or FoE stickers.

jec, I followed a camera van for what seemed like an eternity the other day, and quel surprise they drove at just far enough below the limit to prevent me legally getting past, rather than on the limit.

Most cops wouldn't charge you for going over the limit briefly to achieve a safe overtake. Cameras would of course.

Can no-one read, I said it didn't make her I liar. I categorically did not say that it made her a paragon of driving virtue. I think she's probably the second worst kind of annoying numpty (the worst kind being 40 everywhere.)

I know that, I'm agreeing with you :)

The problem is, her sticker seemed to imply she thought she was a paragon of driving virtue.

It appears that free stickers have been handed out since 2004 in sussex
pdf here

Apparently also at the Royal Lancashire Show. These are apparently supposed to discourage tailgaters. Not sure if I'd class this as being in the same category of the 'The closer you get, the slower I go' bumper stickers though.

Yep, I've got quite a lot of stickers (and a calender :D) from two camera partnerships so far... I'm not really sure what to do with them, I just like wasting their money.

won't that just encourage them to stick up more cameras?
