Thinking about it ,speedo would have to be 100% accurate for you to be doing indicated speed - concensus on here( from other posts) is all read over by up to 10%.

My car's speedo definately over-estimates speed.

Accorging to my GPS, at an indicated 35mph my true speed is 32mph.

Assuming a prosecution threshold of 35mph, my vehicles speedo would have to indicate 38mph before being in ticket territory, thats almost an indicated speed of 40!

I think you'll be OK as long as your speedo over-estimates your speed.

I think Mick Bennett is in charge of that 'outfit' - he'll probably prosecute you for 29 in a 30.

Would that be the kind of outfit that comes complete with chaps and spurs?

Anyone know if there is a fixed level at which GATSO's will flash, irrespective of whether a ticket is issued?

Somebody tells me they have been flashed several times by a Lancs camera, but never received a ticket, and he has always been on or below the limit.

He wants to know if this is just to intimidate drivers.
