I've just had a look at Transport 2000's message board and someone is likening Paul Smith an extremest (sp) and saying that SS is banned in germany.

They are a funny lot over there. They have a message board for "debate" but their idea of debate involves moderating out anyone that does not agree with them. Or at least they wont speak to me.

It's very odd the a "transport umberella group" or what every they define themselves as has no representives from anyone using the roads.

At least on here the pro camera people are allowed to have there say.

I had a look at this website. The first thing that struck me was the letters "SS". The use of them is legally restricted in Germany, for obvious reasons.

These motorist groups should be treated like other extremists and banned.

I see that Mr Brunstrom of North Wales Police has the right attitude to "safe speed": he advises his colleages to ignore Mr Smith.

Unfortunately Mr Brunstrom`s force has been working with a racing motorcyclist to encourage motorbikers to be sensible, saying that bike racing has no place on public roads. I suggest that it has no place anywhere, and motor sport has everything to do with speeding crime.

Horst K

Horst K should be treated like other extremists and be banned.

cept the BNP aren't banned, Islamic Extremists aren't banned, animal rights protesters aren't banned, communists aren't banned. some of the activites of these people are illegal, but that's it, you can't ban people!

I do reckon Horst is trying to get the most offensive and hardline views on there as if his views are real then he is the hardline anti-car person of hardline anti-car persons. he makes Brumstrom (who he glorifies all too often for an anti-car person, who just go on about statistics that are silly and not needed, or are just wrong) look sane!

You saved me a wasted message! I was just about to send a polite message replying to his but if it will get deleted I'll save my finger work...

Sounds as if he's German but saying that motor sport should be banned?? WTF he'd be great working in the "SS" himself!

Gareth

Yep I've tried 'debating' on T2000's 'message board'. I started by politely asking for a list of 'myths and misconceptions' so as not to land myself into trouble inadvertently  No reply.

I own the domains:

If anyone has any ideas as to what I can do with them, let me know. In the mean time, I'm happy to setup a divert to SafeSpeed, if you're OK with that Paul (obviously I'll take ultimate responsibility if anyone complains)?

Because T2K are an annoying bunch of gits and I thought it'd be great to setup a spoof-site or more factually accurate one than the POS they have as their own. Unfortunately I've not had the time to do anything with them.

Also, I was hoping they'd bite and try to take the domain off of me, 'cos I'd love to have a good ruck with them. :) Sadly, that never happened either. :(

Yeah, that sounds like fun. Feel free to point your domains whereever you feel they will do the most good. :)

All done - would be interesting if you can log how many hits go to your site from that URL, as I have no logging with the hosts I use at present.

Love it. Perhaps I could send a message to the 'real' Transport 2000 asking why their website address diverts to Safespeed?

If you set up a divert to Safe Speed, it WILL be to more factually accurate site than their own!

Ah well. If there ever were extreemists they frequent the barking mad Transport2000 web site. Too much BS for me to absorb. After all they are always organising "protests" which seems to me to go against the democraic process.

BTW... SS was used by Jaguar post war for the name of a car as with Chevrolet who made the SS Camaro (Super Sport).
