So what's going on here in Essex? At some of our many camera sites we have a yellow gatso pointing in the normal manner looking at the back of the traffic then a grey one facing the yellow one. Are they breeding. Is it buy one get one free? Or some thing more sinister?

:? Maybe the grey camera is there to protect the GATSO's from vandals!!! I hear a lot of them all over the country are being put out of action by disgruntled motorists!!!

Essex are apparently having a lot of problems with 'unidentified driver' cases, so rather than installing Truvelos, they decided that the solution was to buy a forward-facing camera to take the photo when the Gatso detects a speeding car.

There's nothing like wasting fine-payer's money, is there ;)

Ahhh! So now, you get zapped, you cant deny that you were driving! How clear are these pictures? I ride a motorcycle and underneath my helmet, I wear a balaclava. I presume they will use my leathers for identification purposes, but my leathers are black and this is a very popular colour! My helmet is also plain black and a popular make. Would I still be identifyable?

Of course, this is all irrelevant if I am travelling towards a scamera on my side of the road as bikes dont have front numberplates so my bike can't be identified, can it? Or can these extra cameras take a photo of the rear of my bike as I pass it and set off the GATSO? :?

Take a look at www.gtvv6.com (thats a double v not w) and go to Forum Index > Off Topic. Is this what you are talking about? Maybe they are trying to catch you before you slow down for the Gatso?
