Has anyone done it?

I'd love to prepare a fact sheet to brief people with.

10 questions they don't want you to ask at speed awareness training?

1. if speed kills why are there more KSI's in 30 and 40 mph limits than 60 and 70mph limits.

2. if speed kills why do accidents often increase on roads that have had limits lowered.

3. if the risk of an accident falls by 5% with every 1mph how come we still get accidents on roads that have had the NSL cut to 30mph.

4. If speed cameras are saving so many lives how come fatalities are on the increase.

5. if speed cameras partnerships are about safety not revenue, how come they now have so many mobile units compared to fixed units, when the govt. own report claims they are ineffective at reducing speed or casualties when compared to fixed cameras.

6. If the risk of killing a pedestrian at 30mph is 45% and the majority of drivers exceed the 30 limit. How come less than 2% of pedestrians hit in 30 limits die?

7. If driving more slowly saves lives how come we see more injury accidents in 20 zones per BVKM compared to 30 zones?

8. Is speeding more or less safe than drink driving, how come we prosecute 10 times more speeders than drink drivers.

9 If speed kills why have we not seen a marked reduction in casualties since 1997 given that we now prosecute 10 times as many drivers for speeding.

10 In order to drive more safely, should I be spending more time looking at my speedo than the road.
