I'm not really a protester, not by nature, nor over this particular set of cameras. But it's getting closer. I guess it was inevitable that this would happen. Far too many miles of non-revenue rasing roads. It was either speed cameras or tolls.... which is easier to implement.

ANYWAY. on to the thought.

I saw the item on the news and wasn't convinced that the camera van was legally parked. I'm sure that they had wheels up on the footpath so they could get close enough to the barrier.

If a complaint was raised each time they did this...

I read about this recently but can't remember where....

The vans are being parked on the pathway across the bridge. I understand that this is ok if there is a drop curb, without which they require a footpath closure notice.

The picture of the van that went with the article has the van parked on the path with no drop curb. When they local council was asked they were apparently not clear on whether the vans were in breach of the law or not.

I bet I'd get a ticket if I parked like that!
