Oh, I'm worried about this idea!
Firstly it isn't very productive to 'look like a vendetta'.
Secondly, I don't think there are any elected people in camera partnerships. Once a council committee has agreed to form a partnership, it leaves their hands and becomes autonomous. There's some stuff in the Highlands forum about how this works in practice. (Check out the oldest posts in that forum).
Thirdly, we need to make friends, not enemys. We already have our 'natural' enemies - that's more than enough. (I can't claim to be perfect in this respect - I do make enemies here and there. Nevertheless it's something to try to guard against rather than encourage.)
Fourthly, we have to recognise that there are many members of the public who still believe the government's case. We're strong and well supported, but not strong enough or well supported enough to be able to guarantee to win. And it's best not to play a losing hand. (I'm imagining a case where we'd targetted an official, but the next public vote doesn't go our way.)
So I really think we have to steer well clear of PaulF's idea.
