I believe Brunstrom's latest buffoonery will see him go this week. How long do you think he will last?

Poll runs for this week only.

Longer.

I think we over-estimate the interest the media takes in him when there are other things like prince Harry going to Iraq to concern themselves with.

Definitely longer. I reckon he can say and do pretty much what he wants because he is the PC lover's dream copper and a Government toady.

Almost 40 Google News hits on the story since 6pm.

And I wish you could have heard some of the telephone conversations I've had today...

I think Brunstrom will survive.

He chose the one section of society that is unlikely to get anyone really too emotional, a white biker. Add to that the biker was unlicensed, uninsured and riding like a knob and this story will blow over as soon as something else happens.

Had Brunstrom shown a picture of:

A woman
Lesbian
Gay
Black
Child
Old person

Then he would have been sacked by now.

Don't get me wrong he should be sacked but he won't be, not over this

There is an Appeal this week that if successful may cost Arrivealive / NWP upto a £1m, that may be another straw on the camel's back.

Longer.

He will survive this so long as he has the backing of those obsessed with speed.

I suspect he'll weather this storm in a teacup quite easily.

The Scottish Parliament and the Local Election results will ensure that any publicity on this dies very quickly.

Utterly O/T, but what function does the + in the search term +"brunstrom" serve?

It's a 'forced include'. It probably makes no difference with a single term search but multiple term searches are 'fuzzier'.

A minus sign provides a forced exclude.

Longer, as the authorities aren't really interested in improving road safety...

I'm a realist.

He sings all the right songs and is PC, so he will probably actually last quite a long time. Until they get serious over road safety...
